Seminar on “Application Of Value Management In Architectural Services Department”

Li, Ho-kin is a founding member and a Value Management Facilitator (List A) of Hong Kong Institute of Value Management Limited (HKIVM). Mr. Li joined the Architectural Services Department in 1992 and now he is working as the Chief Architect. The Architectural Services Department (ArchSD), one of the Works Department of HKSAR, which Mr. Li works for, is also a strong advocate of the VM process. The Department conducts a number of VM workshops every year. ArchSD uses VM for all projects over HK$200 million, applies VM at several key stages of the development process. They carried out 24 major studies since 1994, using fully qualified and experienced VM facilitators. Examples of ArchSD VM studies included Wetland Park, Mongkok Stadium, Sheung Shui Slaughterhouse, Stanley Prison Development, School Improvement Programme. Mr. Li’s presentation was on examples of VM workshops that ArchSD has conducted over the years, the key findings in these workshops and experience learnt in preparing and conducting them.
