Opening

It is an honor to have so many invited experts from different countries for sharing their views and experiences on the value methodology and management in the project creation and survival. In the beginning of the conference, the president of the HKIVM, Ir. Paco Tsang, made a welcome speech to introduce the objectives of the conference, and gave thanks to all of the speakers, supporting organizations and participants. Subsequently, Mr. Wai-hung Luk was invited as a keynote speaker from the Highways Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. He firstly highlighted the importance of value management and the government policy on adopting the value management, and further shared the experiences in the success of VM workshop in Hong Kong.

Closing

In the end of the conference, Dr. Mei-yung Leung from the City University of Hong Kong gave the closing speech to summarize the main content of the conference. Dr. Leung also introduced the existing difficulties in the problem-solving process in the mega-projects and emphasized the importance of promoting VM along the Belt and Road region.
